‘Room for One More’ at Saltburn Farmers’ Market

Saltburn’s popular Farmers’ Market is on the lookout for another foodie fan to help tickle its tastebuds – with room for one more stallholder up for grabs this year.

The monthly Market has become one of the most popular Farmers’ Markets in the North East after surviving blizzard conditions during its launch in Easter 2008, and regularly attracts over 4,000* people to the elegant seaside town.

Now, the Market will be back after a winter break for its first event of the year on Saturday March 10 – and one new stallholder could have a great chance to join the fun.

Market organiser Lorna Jackson said: “We’re really looking forward to starting again this year after our winter break, and we’re chuffed to bits to be able to find room for an extra foodie to complement our existing Market.

“We already have a fantastic bunch of more than 25 stallholders with a great mix of locally produced food and artworks – and we’d love to hear from anyone new who could tickle our tastebuds and spark our imagination even more.

“In return, we can offer someone the chance to enjoy being a regular part of a busy and family friendly Market.

“Any new stallholder would need to either grow or use locally produced ingredients from within a 50 mile radius, and could be anyone from a small local farmer, chef, retailer or community group, or simply a home-based talent looking to branch out for the first time.

“The food could include anything from fresh bread, gluten free or vegetarian specialists, organic or cured meats, fresh pasta makers – we’re very much open to ideas really.

“Either way, we’re looking forward to seeing what’s out there, and offering a very warm welcome to a brand new stallholder.”
