The Government has strong ambitions for the Apprenticeship programme and has recently announced a new grant for Small and Medium employers in England to make it easier to take on young apprentices. Over the next 12 months the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) will provide up to £1500 for employers with less than 250 staff taking on new apprentices for the first time.
The grant of £1,500 is to enable employers to offer new Apprenticeship places and take on a 16 -24 year old apprentice. This grant is in addition to the costs of training which are already met by the Government. Any small and medium sized employers who may be interested in taking on an apprentice should get in touch with NAS.
There are only 40,000 grants available nationally, so to avoid disappointment contact us on either 08000 150 600 or www.apprenticeships.org.uk
