Welcome to The Red Lion
Situated in Milfield Village, a classic stone building dating back to the mid 1700's. Originally frequented by the Sheep Drovers of the northern counties and became a major resting point for the Mail Stage Coach carrying passengers and mail between Edinburgh and London.
Founded on a very simple principle, Iain & Claire Burn and staff offer all visitors to the Red Lion a wholesome meal, good well-kept beer and warm relaxing friendly surrounding in which to unwind.
Home to the village leek club and host to other groups like the Borders Gliding Club who operate from the Air Field, used as a training base for pilots during World War II. We offer a welcoming place to meet and chat.
Whether you are just passing through, or staying for a few nights, come and see us at the Red Lion Inn, Milfield.
